Our association is a chapter of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU) which has over 20,000 members nationwide and 225 individual chapters. The mission of CAHU is to promote the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. We will achieve this through education, public service, and communication to our members, the consuming public, and government entities.

We invite all licensed life, health, long-term care agents in the area to attend our meetings held the 4th Thursday of each month for lunch at Wilson's on New Centre Drive in Wilmington, NC. Lunch which is included in your membership dues begins at 11:45am followed by a selected speaker concluding at 1pm. Chapter News

North Carolina Health Insurance Risk Pool:

In 2007, the North Carolina General Assembly passed Session Law 2007-0532 which created the North Carolina Health Insurance Risk Pool (NCHIRP).  The mission of the NCHIRP is to provide affordable health insurance coverage for North Carolinians who face high insurance premiums because of their health.  NCHIRP is scheduled to begin offering coverage on January 1st 2009.
